ABOUT ZINSKY

ZINSKY (B. 1977, BRISTOL, UK) IS A BRITISH CONTEMPORARY ARTIST BASED IN SEGOVIA, SPAIN. AFTER LIVING AND WORKING IN BARCELONA, EDINBURGH AND BRIGHTON, HE ESTABLISHED HIS STUDIO IN SPAIN IN 2014. HIS WORK HAS BEEN EXHIBITED INTERNATIONALLY AND IS HELD IN PRIVATE COLLECTIONS ACROSS EUROPE, NORTH AMERICA, ASIA AND AUSTRALIA. HE WORKS PRIMARILY IN ACRYLIC AND MIXED MEDIA ON CANVAS.

Through expressive brushwork, abstraction, typography, and elements inspired by branding, graffiti, and digital media, Zinsky reinterprets familiar images into paintings with their own identity.

"I’m interested in the point where paint, digital imagery, branding and popular culture collide. My aim is not simply to depict recognisable faces, but to create paintings that continue to reveal themselves beyond that initial moment of recognition."
